About Fuat Balci

I am primarily interested in the study of time perception, decision making, and numerical cognition from both empirical and theoretical perspectives with a focus on reward-rate maximization and cognitive health. I work on computational models of these fundamental cognitive processes, test model-based predictions regarding temporal and perceptual decision-making, investigate the brain mechanisms that underlie these functions in both humans and animals, and study how these processes are altered in CNS disorders and aging.
